Registration: Adults and juveniles; 2 tiers; within 10 days of entering jurisdiction; consideration of foreign convictions not specified; notification of changes: 5 days, incoming and outgoing also

Notification: passive; mandatory, or permissive for website; within 10 days after request from public; applicable to adult sex offenders and, in the case of juveniles, information is given to school officials only

Risk Designation: no specified tiers; evaluation required prior to sentencing and prior to release, classified "violent sexual predators" may request judicial review

Tracking: verification of registry info 90 days or annually or both; duration of registration is life or upon petition after 10 years for certain low-risk offenders, juveniles may petition at age 21; FBI notified

Penalties: felony and mandatory revocation of probation (failure to register); felony and mandatory prison sentence (false verification information and willfully evading verification); penalty for juveniles is misdemeanor
