Regulations
Registration: Adults and juveniles; 2 tiers; at the time assigned a corrections agent; foreign convictions not registrable; notification of changes: ; notification of changes: at least 5 days before incoming and outgoing
Notification: passive for level 1 (to victims, etc.), active for level 2 (to schools, day care centers, etc.), active for level 3 (to community); permissive for level 1 and 2, mandatory for level 3; no specified time frame; applicable to predatory offenders and offenders age 16 and older; offender required to notify law enforcement for college where attending or working in state
Risk Designation: 3 specified tiers; End of Confinement Review Committee assesses on a case-by-case basis
Tracking: verification of registry info 4 times per year for committed offenders, all others annually, by mail; duration of registration 10 years or life
Penalties: Felony, up to 5 years and/or $10,000; will extend duration of registration duty from 1 to 5 years; possible extension of registration period of up to 5 years (failure to notify of change in address)
