Regulations

Registration: Adults; 2 tiers; within 30 days of release or within 30 days of establishing residence and within 10 days for non-residents entering state for school or employment; foreign convictions not registrable; notification of changes: within 10 days

Notification: passive; permissive; no specified time frame; applicable to adult and juvenile sex offenders or offenders against children; offender required to notify law enforcement for college where attending or working within 10 days

Tracking: verification of registry info 90 days or annually, by mail; duration of registration 10 years sequentially per conviction or life

Penalties: violation (negligent failure to comply); misdemeanor (knowing failure to comply); Class B felony (subsequent offense for post-misdemeanor conviction)
